About The Author
The author a guru in the field of analog design, has selected the very best analog design-specific material that we have to offer and compiled it into this essential volume for any analog engineer. He chose this material based on its timeless and timelessness, with a heavy emphasis on practical, real-world design issues. In addition to specific design techniques and practices. You'll also find information on the philisophy behind analog design and the various design strategies used to solve analog design problems. Special attention is also given to " foundation" concepts of analog design, such as feedback systems. Interfacing analog circuits to digital systems is also explained in detail, along with circuit board layout and component selection for proper circuit operation.
Review of Feedback Systems - My Approach to Feedback Loop Design - Basic Operational Amplifier Topologies and a Case Study - Finding the Perfect Op Amp for your Perfect Circuit - Review of Passive Components and a Case Study in PC Board Layout - Analog Lowpass Filters - Highpass Filters - Noise: The Three Categories-Device, Conducted and Emitted - How to Design Analog Circuits without a Computer or a Lot of Paper - Bandpass Filters - Bandstop (Notch) Filters - Current-Feedback Amplifiers - The Basics behind Analog-to-Digital Converters - The Right ADC for the Right Application - Working the Analog Problem from the Digital Domain - Whatís all this Error Budget Stuff, anyhow? - Whatís all this VBE Stuff, anyhow? - The Zoo Circuit - Appendix A: Analog-to-Digital Converter Specification Definitions and Formulas - Appendix B: Capacitor Coefficients for Lowpass Sallen-Key Filters - Index.
Robert A. Pease Attended Mt. Hermon School and Graduated from MIT in 1961 with a BSEE. He worked at Philbricks Researches up to 1957 and design many OpAmps and Analog Computing Modules. He Joined National Semiconductor in 1976. He has designed about 24 analog ICs including power regulators, Voltages references, and temp sensors. He has written 65 + magazine articles and holds about 21 US patents. Pease is a self-declared Czar of Bandgaps since 1986. His Position at NSC is Staff Scientists. He is the senior member of the IEEE. Pease is the Columnist in Electronic Design Magazine, with overcome 240 columns published. The column. "Pease Porridge" covers a wide range of technical topics.
